A. There are thieves that will steal The Good Shepherd’s flock (John 10:1, 5, 8, 10).
1. The Jewish leaders were a danger to steal away the flock of God (Matt. 23:15).
2. There are those who would steal away the flock of God even today (1 Tim. 6:3-5; Matt. 7:20).
B. There are hirelings that will abandon The Good Shepherd’s flock (John 10:11-12).
1. A hireling will appear to tend the flock.
2. He will gladly take the accolades/profit for doing such under calm circumstances.
3. However, when he needs to defend the flock, he reveals himself as cowardly/untrusting (Ezek.34:1-6).
4. This is the elder/preacher/Christian in general who will not preach/stand for the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27; Ezek. 33:1-7).
C. There are wolves that will devour The Good Shepherd’s flock (John 10:11-12).
1. Jesus told about the wolves of His day (Matt. 7:15).
2. Paul’s told about the wolves of His day (2 Cor. 11:13-15; Acts 20:29).

C. It is Jesus that makes it impossible for the outside threats to take His flock (1 Cor.10:13; John 10:27-29).
III. The Good Shepherd makes provision’s for the flock’s health
A. With another reference to John 10:9, it is there that we see that Jesus is the one that directs His flock to nourishing pasture.
B. Psalm 23 is a great corresponding passage.
C. Not only does Jesus provide for the flock’s health, but He gives the flock an abundance of health (John 10:10; 1 Pet. 3:10-11).
D. The Good Shepherd gives His health/life for the health/life of His flock (John 10:11, 15; Rom. 5:8;
